Joe is a very gentle soul. He never wishes harm on anybody, unless he has very good reason and he lives by the motto; Do to others as you wish done to yourself. He's not pushy either - when he has a girlfriend, he lets her take the lead and only do as much as she is comfortable with. Towards others, he is bubbly and cheerful. He is truly happiest when he is riding his horses though, whether he is doing dressage or jumping.

History: Joe was born to a fairly well off family in southern Victoria. His parents had good jobs - his mother was a lawyer and his father was a doctor, so they could afford to buy their son good things. However, their jobs meant that they weren't around that much and so Joe was very much left to his own devices. He found a local riding school one day when he was out cycling and begged his parents to let him start riding. They agreed and at age 12, Joe had his first riding lesson. Almost immediately, he was hooked on the sport and as he got better, his parents took an interest in it. They accompanied him to shows and after a while, bought Joe his first horse. She wasn't anything special, as an ageing 15 hand Cob, but Joe loved her all the same. When he progressed further, his parents bought him another horse, a beautiful buckskin mare named Elodie. It was shortly after that that Joe decided to move away from his parents. He found Hope Springs and saw it as an ideal place to live, so that was where he moved to.

I leant back against a tree beside the lake, my guitar lying on the grass beside me. It was a beautiful summer's day and it was pretty hot. Me and my family had just moved here yesterday, so I had come to hang out here whilst they sorted out the furniture and unpacked everything.
I picked up my guitar and rested on my knee, letting my fingers lazily strum the strings. After a few moments of making sure it was in tune, I started to play the tune of one of my favourite songs. It was 'Broken Strings' by James Morrison and Nelly Furtado. James used a lot of guitar in his songs, so I knew how to play a lot of him. I also knew the words to the song so I sung along softly to myself. As I played, I let my eyes wander to take in the beautiful landscape around me. The lake was clearest blue and the grass a luscious green. On the other side of the lake, there was someone playing with a dog but I couldn't see anyone near me. I didn't mind. It was nice to be able to play my guitar in peace.
