The sun was shining down on her as she sat in the shade of an old tree reading a book. She was leaning against the tree and smiling. She felt the warmth in the air and knew that it was summer, her favorite season. Summer was warm and dry and it lent itself to horse riding, trails and reading. She also loved it as it brought out the best in people, everyone seemed to smile more in Summer and she always found that if someone smiled at her she would smile back. Summer was like the fresh hope after Winter and although Spring came after Winter it always had the likelihood of being cold.
Her thoughts about Summer were whirling around in her head along with other thoughts about her life. She didn't believe that at the moment she was truly happy. She was in a well-paid job and had a nice home and an exceptionally nice horse but she didn't have a nice man. She had always been taught that when girls grow up they get married to a nice man and have children and all those sort of ideas. She had never paid much attention to them until now. But she had now figured out that that was indeed what she wanted.
She stretched out her arms and yawned it was a nice sunny day and she was sitting under a large tree thinking about marriage when she should be out riding her horse. She stood up and brushed off her clothes, picked up her book and began to walk to her house. She went inside and placed the book on the table in the hallway. The house was cool and a nice breeze hit her face. She stood still for a minute feeling the breeze on her face. She smiled and then went back outside. She locked up the house and began to walk slowly to the stable where her horse stayed. She was ready to go out riding.
