Kia was dressed to kill as she walked toward the mansion. It kinda reminded her of home, though there were no horses whinnying here. Kentucky was thousands of miles away. A slight wave of nostalgia washed over her, but she quickly banished it. It was a new time and place, and she was looking forward to having some fun and meeting some new people. Music resonated through the house as she walked in, surprised at how many people were here already. The party was definitely hopping.
The blonde walked over to a table and grabbed a drink, sipping on the clear liquid as she weaved through people and out to the back of the house. She was glad she'd worn her bikini bottoms and made room for the top in her clutch. Someone had mentioned he had a pool. She just hoped noone could see the pink bottoms under her short skirt. Kia made a mental note not to bend over.
Her brown eyes scanned the people there, looking for anyone she might recognize from Hope Springs. There were a few that looked familiar, but her shyness kept her against the wall as she walked back inside. The music continued, constantly evolving and changing as songs ended and new ones began. Kia sipped more of her drink, smiling as a couple of goofballs beside her cracked jokes. They had obviously already tipped a few back. Maybe this party would be more interesting than she had originally thought.
